Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name and email associated with that Google account. If you add a phone number for household invites, we collect and verify that phone number.

Receipts and expenses. Anything you scan or enter — merchant name, date, amounts, categories, notes, and photos of receipts you capture or upload — is stored so the app can show your spending history and reports. Receipt photos are uploaded so they sync across your own devices and, if a receipt is shared, are visible to the household members you split it with.

Household data. If you invite someone to your household (by email or phone) or accept an invite, your display name, email, and shared receipts/balances become visible to other members of that household. Leaving a household stops this sharing going forward.

Push notification token. If you enable notifications, we store a device push token so the app can alert you (and, for shared expenses, other household members) about budget alerts, new shared expenses, and settled balances.

Camera and photo library access. Used only to let you capture or select a receipt image to attach to an expense. Images are not accessed for any other purpose.

• To show you your own expense history, budgets, and reports.
• To sync your data across your own devices when signed into the same account.
• To share specific receipts/balances with household members you've explicitly invited or accepted an invite from.
• To send you notifications you've opted into (budget alerts, shared expenses, settle-ups).
• Receipt text may be sent to Google's Gemini API solely to auto-extract merchant, date, and line-item details from a scanned receipt — this is used only to fill in the expense form, not stored by us for any other purpose.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or ad tracking. We don't run analytics or ad SDKs in this app.

Data is stored locally on your device and, when signed in, synced to Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Storage) under our project. Household invites sent by email are delivered via EmailJS.

• Delete your account: Settings → Delete Account permanently removes your cloud data and local receipts.
• Leave a household: stops sharing your future expenses with that household's other members.
• Turn off notifications: Settings → Notifications.
• Remove your phone number: Settings → Edit Profile.
